Giveaway, Review & Tour: Music of the Heart by Katie Ashley

4 Hearts

Goodreads Summary
For Abby Renard, the plan was supposed to be simple—join her brothers’ band on the last leg of their summer tour and decide if she’s finally ready for the limelight by becoming its fourth member. Of course, she never imagined stumbling onto the wrong tour bus at Rock Nation would accidentally land her in the bed of Jake Slater, the notorious womanizing lead singer of Runaway Train. When he mistakes her for one of his groupie’s, Abby quickly lets him know she sure as hell isn't in his bed on purpose.

Jake Slater never imagined the angel who fell into his bed would resist his charms by promptly kneeing him in the balls. Of course, the fact she seems like a prissy choir girl makes her anything but his type. So he is more than surprised when after betting Abby she wouldn’t last a week on their tour bus, she is more than willing to prove him wrong. But as Jake’s personal life begins to implode around him, he finds an unlikely ally in Abby. He’s never met a woman he can talk to, joke with, or most importantly make music with.

As the week starts comes to a close, neither Abby nor Jake is ready to let go. Can a sweetheart Country songstress and a bad boy of Rock N Roll actually have a future together?

**ARC provided by author for an honest review**

Jake Slater, while hot, brought no surprises to this book. He is your typical rocker bad boy. He is sexy and he knows it. Different chick every night. Booze and partying whenever the mood strikes. Yep, just another typical day in the life of a rock star. Don't get me wrong, I LOVED me some Jake! But he wasn't the reason I loved this book.

The real star of this book is Abby. She is feisty and not afraid to speak her mind. She will lay it out there for ya and put you in your place in the blink of an eye. Growing up with three brothers means she is not fazed by the boys of Runaway Train. Least of all womanizer, Jake Slater.

But what neither of them counted on when their paths crossed, and a bet leads to them spending a week together, that they would find an amazing connection. One that comes just at a time when Jake needs it most.

Abby helps Jake when he struggles to deal with the news that his whole life is about to change in a way he is not sure he can handle. It is tough, because he is so used to pushing people away when things get tough. Which he tries doing with Abby many times. But she is stronger than he realizes and is willing to stand by him, no matter what.

The book takes you through the sweet and beautiful journey of Abby and Jake. I loved reading of how their relationship continued to grow. Abby was just what Jake needed, even when he didnt realize it. There are some hot and steamy moments too, which of course only made the book that much better.

Congrats go to Ms. Ashley for providing us with another great book, full of characters for us to fall in love with.
